Behind the scenes at London productions
In a day:
Morning: Hughenden Manor
Explore this Victorian manor; one of the rural locations used in the 2002 film, Jonny English, featuring Rowan Atkinson. Once the home of Benjamin Disraeli, Hughenden Manor gives an insight into his parliamentary retreat with many of his books and pictures on view. Take a walk around the colourful gardens and explore the surrounding parkland.
Enjoy a lunch break in the Stables Restaurant before making the 15 minute journey on to West Wycombe Park.
Afternoon: West Wycombe Park
This fine Georgian landscaped garden and Palladian villa is among the most theatrical and Italianate in England. So there is no wonder why this beautiful place has been featured in a variety of films and television series, including Downton Abbey, Foyle’s War, Little Dorrit and the 2008 feature film The Duchess. Spend your afternoon wandering through the park and house, imaging what it would have been like on set.
