Volunteers get stuck in with garden maintenance

Our garden volunteers get up to all sorts.

This could include changing the vegetable patches regularly, trimming the lawns, repairing and maintaining garden buildings or going to our holiday cottages to make sure the gardens look lovely.

Why not join in and help to maintain our beautiful gardens and make new friends while you’re at it.

Enjoy being outdoors?

Get stuck in

If you love our parkland and like being out in the open, why not volunteer with our park wardens?

There's plenty to do in the park to keep it maintained and conserve ancient habitats. We couldn't do this without the help of our volunteers. Get involved and you could be doing activities such as building walls and repairing paths.

Enjoying chatting to people?

Meet a diverse range of people

Volunteer as a guide and meet people from all walks of life.

All of our rooms need volunteers who engage with visitors to make their experience special.

Guides provide a warm welcome and a friendly face to put questions to. Prefer to be outside? No problem, you can guide in the gardens too.
