Visitor Services Ranger

Our volunteers are out working and having fun in all weathers  © Nick Robinson

Help out our ranger team by doing everything from walking the hill checking footpaths to welcoming visitors to Carding Mill Valley.

We pride ourselves on the fantastic presentation of the hill, and you can directly contribute to that. We also want our Visitor Services Rangers to make our visitors feel welcome and to help them get more out of their day.

Retail Assistant

Why not join our team in the shop? © Emily Knight

We need volunteers in our shop to not only sell our lovely products but to also provide excellent customer service engaging with our visitors by providing information about the site, recommending walks and activities so that they can get the most out of their day.

Bird watcher

The swallow camera is just one way we can engage visitors in bird watching © Nick Robinson

With our new bird hide and roof terrace we now have the perfect platform to engage with our visitors about the birds that make their home on the Long Mynd.

We need volunteers to help visitors identify the birds they are seeing and get them inspired to have a go at bird watching themselves.
