Whether on the scenic shores of Strangford Lough, inside our 18th-century mansion or within the multi-level Victorian Sunken Garden, Castle Ward offers a selection of the finest wedding locations anywhere in Northern Ireland.

Built in the 1760s, Castle Ward and its estate combines history and architecture with breathtaking views of outstanding natural beauty.

Mansion hall

A Neo-classical 18th-century hall of assembly with richly decorated walls, a scaglioli colonnade and a Georgian ceiling enhanced by a crystal chandelier. For ceremonies of up to 65 persons.

Theatre

A charming space located in the large barn in the Stableyard. The Theatre is convenient to both the Sunken Garden and Mansion. Up to 150 persons per ceremony/120 persons per reception.

Lime tree walk

A truly unique location. Celebrate your marriage from under the 40 year old lime trees that lead to the fabulous Temple Water vista, framing Audley's Castle. Ceremonies up to 100 persons.

The sunken garden

The Victorian sunken garden, on three levels and featuring a plethora of exotic flowers and plants, provides a stunning and tranquil location for your wedding. For ceremonies of up to 170 persons.

Coal quay

The perfect location for an exceptional maritime themed ceremony on a 200 year old quay on the shores of Strangford Lough. Ideal for ceremonies of up to 80 persons.

Stableyard tea-room

The Stableyard tea-room, which is full of charm and character, provides a quiet additional space for evening receptions. It can be booked from 6pm onwards for your special day.
