Chirk Castle Rooftop Tours
From September until the end of October Chirk Castle will open the staircase inside one of the towers for visitors to walk the rooftop and better discover the castle’s true size, architecture and position in the landscape.
On this guided tour around the roof visitors will have the opportunity to take in the splendid views over the Cheshire and Salop plains. A guide will also explain how the views from the top of the battlements have changed over the centuries.
Tours run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday only, and are for limited numbers. Minimum age 10 years. There is no additional charge for the rooftop tour, however normal admission charges apply. Tickets will be available on the day, please follow the signs on site.
Please note that tours are dependent on staff/volunteer numbers and weather conditions and cannot be guaranteed. In the event of adverse weather, tours may be cancelled at short notice. Please call 01691 777701 on the day you wish to visit to check availability.
