Come along and meet the National Trust's weapons expert and get a close up look at the castle's superb gun collection.

Medieval garrison experience

19 May 7pm

Part of 'Museums at Night'. The whole family joins the memebrs of Chirk garrison for the evening and discovers how they lived 700 years ago. Take part in pike drill, archery and help secure the castle. Taste medieval food and explore the tower and dungeons with no-one else around.

£25 per family.

Jubiliee celebrations

2-5 June

Join us for a long weekend of jubilee celebrations. Follow the crown jewel treasure trail, make your own natural crown and enjoy family games. Free entry for children dressed in red, white and blue on Tuesday 5th.

Knights & princesses day

7 June

It's time to put on your armour or wear your prettiest gown as our annual knights and princesses' day returns. Be presented to Queen Joanna, follow the knights quest, learn to sword fight in knight school and dance at the princesses' ball. Free entry to children in courtly costume.

Midsummer sunrise walk

21 June at 4am

Join the head warden for an early morning stroll and see the mid-summer sun rise above the castle and stunning parkland. Enjoy a warming hearty Welsh breakfast afterwards in the tea-room.
