Barkers Restaurant is open every day for afternoon tea

Barkers sits within the former head gardener’s house, overlooking the walled kitchen garden.

The villa has been lovingly refurbished in a classic, contemporary style.

The seasonal menu uses local ingredients, many grown in the walled kitchen garden.

Enjoy rhubarb champagne on arrival

Join us at Barkers for our very own rhubarb festival on Sunday 27 May.

Enjoy a six course rhubarb themed gourmet menu, with Hawke's rhubarb champagne on arrival.

The evening starts at 6.30pm for seating at 7pm.

Morning coffee or afternoon tea at Barkers is a pleasure. Homemade pastries and cakes are accompanied by a choice of coffees. A perfect start to the day. Afternoon tea is a delight, with three options.

Barkers: a history in brief

Named after former resident, head gardener Samuel Barker, in post 1899-1935.

His job was one of great responsibility and high esteem, supplying the 'Big House' with produce including exotics like pineapples and grapes.

Barkers is open Sunday to Thursday 10am - 5pm, Friday and Saturday 6-9pm.
