Eating & shopping
The Stables shop
Open daily with the castle
The shop is located near the castle. Make sure you pop in for something to take home, a gift for your loved ones or a treat. Have a look at some of the plants on sale or grab a read for the journey home. We've updated our homes, gardens and countryside ranges for 2014 and children can spend their pennies with the pocket-money range.
Look out for our World War One range from August 2014.
The Carpenters tea-room
Open every weekend until the end of February from 10am to 4pm
As the nights are drawing in, you can now enjoy our autumn and winter menu of warming lunches, hot roasts, freshly made soups and other winter warmers. From a 10am breakfast, to a noon lunch or afternoon tea, we've got everything on the menu in the tea-room. We use seasonal, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, including the fruit, salad and vegetables you will see growing in the gardens. Children's portions also available.
Keep the fire burning
Stock up on your store ready for those cold dark nights with some Croft firewood.
We've got ready chopped bags for just £3, ideal for your woodburner or log fire at home. Wood from the parkland is sourced from hardwoods, mainly oak and ash. If you're local to Croft, our ranger may be able to deliver a load to your door. Email us for more information.
Second hand bookshop
We've received lots of donations of books thanks to a recent appeal.
Come and browse the shelves to find a special gift for someone or a gripping read for the long nights. All proceeds from the book shop go towards our conservation projects at Croft and we're always pleased to receive any of your own unwanted books so don't forget to bring those along too when you visit.
