What's on this summer?

We're worth a visit at any time of year, but we've some extra-special events coming up this year. Highlights include our high flying Kite Festival in August and a spectacular open air theatre production in the ruins.

Archaeology project in Downhill ruins

We've been working on our third archaeological dig at Downhill this year. The aim of the project is to discover more about the history, development and use of this former mansion.
