A group of our volunteers.

If you’re keen on history and want to help protect our heritage, volunteering at a museum can be a very rewarding experience. Based at a wonderful historic property, you’ll meet new people, make new friends and get to know our collections. There is something to suit most areas of interest. Volunteers can help with giving guided tours, assisting with special events and working in the garden. Behind the scenes there are opportunities to help with research, restoration and caring for objects. Volunteers are welcome at the Elizabethan House Museum or either of the other two museums managed by Norfolk Museums & Archaeology Service in Great Yarmouth.
