Our work

Conserving the pelmets at Felbrigg Hall

Ever wondered what's involved when it comes to conserving textiles such as curtains? This short film follows the 18 months conservation project of the pelmets and curtains that now hang in the Drawing Room at Felbrigg Hall. Over time the silk damask had become damaged by light and needed stabilising, new linings have been added, damaged wooden baubles replaced and the curtains cleaned.
