How to get here
Grange 6 miles; Windermere 8 miles. If you are travelling from the North West of England, hop on board the Transpennine Express Lakes Line service to Windermere Train Station. If you are arriving by car, we are 1 mile north of Newby Bridge on the A592. There is a parking charge for non-members. Coach access is difficult and booking is essential. Why not park here all day and enjoy a full day out around Fell Foot? Don’t forget to pack your walking boots and enjoy exploring the gardens and lake, there are maps and leaflets in the shop or visit the ferry page for ideas. From May to Oct you can arrive at Fell Foot from Lakeside by boat. The journey is just 10 minutes, and the boats run every day from 11am - 5pm every 30 minutes. Experience more of the lake and travel to Lakeside on the Windermere Lake Cruises from Bowness-on Windermere or Ambleside, the boats run 7 days per week, all year round. Hop on the 800 bike bus from Ambleside, Windermere or Bowness-on-Windermere – it stops right outside Fell Foot! The 800 bike bus runs on weekends and bank holidays from May until July, daily from July to Sept, and weekends until end of Sept. The number 6 bus from Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere runs all year. The bus stop is right outside the park entrance, so why not put your feet up and take it easy?
