Fungus on the move

Our rangers discovered Dog's Vomit Fungus at the Giant's Causeway this season. It turns out this moving fungus is more common than you think.

What to look out for this season

  • Flocks of finches around the cereal fields at Runkerry
  • Gorse blooming along the cliff top path
  • Eider duck close to the shore in the sea in Port Ganny
  • Fox moth caterpillars like to bask on top of grassy banks
