Nestled on the shores of Wastwater and looking across to the rock falls of the Screes is Wasdale annexe. Ideally situated for England’s finest mountain walking with convenient access to a vast range of fells including Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain and Great Gable a real mountaineer’s mountain to name just two.
This is group accommodation for nine people in two dormitories. The cost is a flat rate, regardless of the number of people staying.

Wasdale annexe single room
The single bedroom is reached by going through one of the dormitory style bedrooms. The bothy is for group bookings and sleeps up to nine people.
Things to see and do
Wasdale is a mountain-adventure paradise and also has plenty of stunning valley-floor walks. The surrounding valleys of Eskdale and Duddon are well worth exploring too.
Access to the Annexe is via the same track for the YHA and their directions and map are useful. The Annexe is the small building attached to the YHA. Parking is through the gates at the far end.
