Developing co-operation and communication skills by playing Victorian games

A special place to learn

Killerton’s experienced and enthusiastic team extends a warm welcome to all schools.

We offer an award-winning education programme of facilitated and self-led sessions that encourage pupils to be active learners with enquiring minds.

Our sessions and activities are designed to promote a range of key skills for learning. All sessions will extend pupils’ language and communication skills and enhance social awareness.

Outdoor learning

The outdoors is a stimulating classroom. At Killerton there are extensive areas of woods, parkland and open spaces for pupils to immerse themselves in the natural world and learn new skills.

Indoor learning

A visit to Killerton brings history to life by offering your children a fantastic chance to learn from hands-on experience, drama and role play, as well as to develop their language and social skills.

Victorian Christmas

Wednesday 27 November – Wednesday 18 December, Monday to Friday, 10am-12noon.
A fun end of term outing where pupils meet members of a Victorian household and learn about Victorian Christmas.

Education group membership and activity charges

Education group membership, currently between £37.50 and £93 per year depending on school size, entitles the school to free admission to the property. Education group membership can be taken out on the day of your visit and is by far the cheapest option for schools.
Please note that we make the following additional charge for facilitated sessions:

  • £3 per child per day
  • £2 per child for a single session
