May half-term fun

    Half-term trail

    Saturday 21 May to Sunday 31 May, 10am to 5pm.
    Run of some of that excess energy by visiting Knightshayes this half-term. Grab a 50p trail from reception and discover our gardens. Go on a hunt for one of our geocaches, explore the house and meet our chickens in the kitchen garden. There's loads to keep them busy this May.

    Golf Taster Session

     Tuesday 26 May, 11am to 3pm
    Here at Knightshayes we have a long and proud golfing heritage. Share our love of golf by trying some fun taster activities. Play on our mini course and practice putting or chipping. Then meet the experts from Tiverton golf club to learn some new tricks and pick up some tips.
    Free activity but normal admission applies

    Print Making Workshops - Drop-In Session

     Thursday 28 and Saturday 30 May, 11am to 4pm
    Come and have a go at printmaking and help make a large banner commemorating Tiverton in World War One. Using your own individually designed plate, roll on ink before printing your portion of the banner. The end result will be displayed at Knightshayes later in the year. Most suitable for ages 7 years plus, but younger helpers welcome.
    Free activity. Normal admission applies.

    Animated film-making workshops

    Friday 29 May, 11am to 4pm
    Experience the fascinating process of stop motion animation. We'll be making characters based around the First World War and working in small groups to create animated scenes. Your animation will be available to download online.
    Booking essential. £10 to book your place. Call Lizzie on: 01392 385214. Knightshayes admission applies. Participants need to bring lunch and require supervision.

Toddler day - animals

Thursday 14 May, 11am - 3pm
Join us for a day of fun especially for the under 5's. Each toddler day has a seasonal theme, with early years activities for little ones to enjoy. In May take a walk on the wild side with our animal theme.

£3 per child. Normal admission applies.

 

50 things Summer Activities

50 Things: Pond dipping

No.35 Pond dipping in the parkland: 30 July and 1 Aug. 11am - 4pm on the hour. 
No.41 Grow it, plant it, eat it: Vegetable growing in the Kitchen Garden. 6 - 8 Aug, 10am - 5pm. 
All £2 per child plus admission.

Reluctant Dragon theatre performances: 13-15 August. Bring along a blanket and relax in the gardens whilst watching the play, 'The Reluctant Drago. 
Soupstock: 2,9,16,23 August. Our music festival in the parkland returns.
Knightshayes at war exhibition:              1 August - 29 November. A chance to find out about Knightshayes' role in the first world war.
