    Home of the Croft family for nearly 1,000 years Croft Castle, a place of power, politics and pleasure, nestles in peaceful Herefordshire countryside at the heart of a 607-hectare (1,500-acre) estate of woodlands, farm and parkland. Explore the miles of woodland trails, learn about the family who have made Croft so special. See the fine Georgian interiors and family portraits. Stroll through the woods to the Iron Age hill fort at Croft Ambrey and view fourteen of the old counties. Croft has over 300 veteran trees. Enjoy the atmospheric rooms, including the 18th-century Saloon

    Open Bank Holiday Mondays. Admission to castle between 11 and 1 by tour only. Tea-room and play area: also open 2 to 31 January weekends only; 13 to 21 February every day; 27 and 28 February, 11 to 4; 27 to 31 December, 11 to 3. Park closes dusk if earlier. Last admission 30 minutes before closing.

    Gift Aid Admission (Standard Admission prices in brackets) House and grounds: adult £7.50 (£6.80), child £3.60 (£3.25), family £17.90 (£16.25).
