Whether you're a camper, glamper or campervanner, we've got a perfect spot for you in the Lake District. Camp by the lakeshore or babbling beck, in grassy meadows or on pretty woodland pitches.

The Lake District is one of the UK's top camping and walking destinations whatever the season and whatever the weather. With lots of weather-proof options, Autumn-time can be a great time to visit with invigorating walks, and cosy evenings around a woodburner or tucked up in your picturesque campervan spot.

Our sites are perfectly placed for walking, cycling, climbing, running and boating. At this time, many indoor spaces such as Wray Castle and Allan Bank are still closed but many gardens and all our countryside and car parks are open. It’s best to plan ahead as some places need to be booked in advance. You can check out what’s open in the Lake District by scrolling to the bottom of this page. If you can't decide where to go, our campsite staff love to share their passion for the Lake District - just ask.

Your campsite fees help us to look after the Lakes, so thank you for choosing to stay with us.

Low Wray Campsite

Low Wray Campsite occupies one of the finest locations in the Lake District, with access to the shores of Lake Windermere and Wray Castle. With ample opportunities for 'car free' days out, you can pitch up with your tent or campervan, chill out in a pod or safari tent or quite literally, hang out in a tree.

With the towering Langdale Pikes looming above it, Great Langdale Campsite is a particularly dramatic spot to pitch up for a holiday in the Lake District. The site offers a wide selection of grassy pitches, as well as a collection of wooden camping pods.

Wasdale Campsite

Wasdale Campsite is spectacularly located at the foot of England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike and a stone's throw from England's deepest lake, Wastwater. With electric hook ups for campervans and tents, cosy pods and recently refurbished facilities, this campsite is a perfect place to rest weary limbs after big days out on Lakeland's highest fells.

Eskdale is a new addition to our family of campsites which sits at the foot of Hardknott Pass, England's steepest road, almost next door to the famous Ravenglass and Eskdale steam railway and within easy walking distance of the village of Boot.

What's new at our Lake District campsites?

We have new plus pods at Eskdale and Wasdale which provide an extra level of comfort. At Low Wray, all our camping pods now come with electricity as standard and we’ve more campervan pitches with electricity too. Our active base at Low Wray is also open again for bike, SUP and kayak hire.
