Ambleside and Hawkshead are just a few minutes drive away, Hill Top and the Beatrix Potter Gallery (both NT) are also a short drive or an excellent walk away. Low Wray is close to all central Lakes attractions including several NT Houses and Gardens.
How to get there
By bus: Bus service 505/506, the Coniston Rambler from Ambleside or Windermere can drop you within a mile of the site. For timetable information, call Traveline on 0871 200 22 33 or visit www.traveline.org.uk
By road: Take the A593 from Ambleside, turn left at Clappersgate onto the B5286. Turn left at the sign for Wray. The site is less than one mile on the left.
