A dedicated team
Mottisfont has more than 300 volunteers. This band of men and women has one thing in common: they want to be part of our work in looking after this unique house, garden and estate. Enthusiasm and interest are the main requirements of the role. You don't need to know anything about Mottisfont when you apply to join, but you'll soon learn a great deal.
If you'd like to join the team, please get in contact by email or by calling 01794 341564.
Room and gallery guides
We've so much history to share with people. Join our house volunteer team and you can chat to visitors about all the interesting people who once lived here.
Outdoor volunteer guides
Love the great outdoors? Join our hardy team of outdoor guides? They set off on tours around the gardens and our historic duck walk, helping visitors spot the varied flora and fauna around the estate.
Countryside volunteers
If you're more active, then why not get stuck in with our countryside team and help keep the estate running smoothly? You can even make charcoal, which we sell here at Mottisfont.
More opportunities
For bookworms
We've a splendid second-hand bookshop looked after completely by volunteers. You could help sort out the stock and sell books on a range of topics, fact and fiction.
Buggy driving
If you love chatting to people and feeling the wind in your hair, then join our lively team of buggy drivers.
South Hants Volunteers
Established in 1982, the South Hampshire National Trust Volunteers have a passion to conserve our countryside. They work on projects ranging from bridge building and tree planting to wildlife surveys and monitoring.
