Family fun this summer
The Art of Lauren Child: Adventures with Charlie and Lola and friends
18 July - 6 September
This summer we will be exhibiting 50 original art works from Lauren’s own personal collection including many that have never been seen before.
Alongside the illustrations are objects that helped inspire the stories, such as Lola’s pink milk glass, Lauren’s sketch books and one of the original sets from the Princess and the Pea.
You will also get a sneak preview of the illustrations for Lauren’s new book to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Charlie and Lola, entitled One Thing, which is published this autumn.
Lauren has also worked with us to create a fantastic family trail that takes children on an adventure with Charlie, Lola and friends, around the house and gardens. There are fun and creative challenges to complete along the way.
Join us on 8 & 9 August and 22 &23 August for family fun weekends with face painting, story reading and extra art activities.
Our Wild Play trail is a big hit and we hope you are all enjoying exploring and testing your limits. We've got this great map for you to take round with some fun facts on the back. Download it today or pick up a copy when you next visit.
Notice: Our pump, pool and paddle are back up an running again. Remember to treat it kindly as it's been through the wars.
