Get outdoors and closer to nature with great activities for the whole family. You can build a den, create wild art and, make a mud pie and become a nature detective - there's something for everyone. There will also be exciting workshops at 11am and 1pm on building a woodland camp and surviving the forest at night.
Climb a tree

If you've got a head for heights join our tree climbing team at Forest Fridays. We'll be revealing the fascinating secrets behind caring for the tallest of our trees, and they'll even help you scale a tree and get right up into it's canopy. Normal admission applies plus £5 per climb.
'Stourhead will never forget'

The Scraptors are a group of West Country artists, specialising in sculpture using recycled materials. This exciting project, funded by the Heritage Lottery, takes you on a journey around the Stourhead estate. Discover three sculptures each reflecting elements of Harry’s Story, illuminating the effect of WW1 on the local community.
A day in the woods: Hedgerow harvest
Wednesday 16 September, 10am-4pm
Join bushcraft expert Greg in Stourhead woods. Discover the natural treats the forest provides, and the skills needed to prepare them. You’ll learn about trees and fungi, medicinal plants and ways to use them. Lashings of tea and coffee and a bushcraft lunch are included. Adults £85, child £55 book your place on 01747 841152
