Sutton Hoo is a great place to bring your class no matter what the subject is.  Anglo-Saxon history is most popular but we provide guided activities for all ages. They're led by our fully trained guides or we've got self-led resources for you to use too.

If you'd like to enjoy all of our places for FREE all year then why not join up to our Education group membership.

Membership entitles card-holders to make as many pre-booked visits during the year as required. Group leaders are also entitled to make free planning and preparation visits to the sites.

    Next to the Exhibition Hall you'll find a play area. It's great for active kids.

    Picnic spots

    There are plenty of spots to enjoy a picnic outdoors. A groundsheet is available or picnic tables

Don't forget to bring...

  • A water bottle, sun hat and sun cream in the summer
  • A warm coat, hat and gloves in the winter
  • Wellie boots and waterproof coat if forecast is for rain
  • Lunch
  • Education Group Membership card if applicable
  • Clipboards and enough worksheets for your class
