Our tea-garden: time for a treat

Enjoy a traditional cream tea at Watersmeet House, a former fishing lodge
Don’t feel like you have to come here just to walk. Watersmeet House has been serving teas since as far back as 1901. We’re happily continuing this fine tradition, as we know a visit to the West County isn’t quite complete without biting into a freshly cooked scone, thickly layered with clotted cream and strawberry jam (or whortleberry jam, an Exmoor speciality). Ours have quite a following with people coming back time and time again to sit on the riverbank and indulge.
