Information for visitors to the Yorkshire Coast

View down street to bay
The narrow winding streets of Robin Hood’s Bay lead you towards the Old Coastguard Station National Trust / Kate Horne

You may find the following information useful when planning your group's visit to the Old Coastguard Station.

Pay and display parking is available for coaches and minibuses at the top of the hill. There is no car or coach parking in the village itself. It is a 15 minute walk from the car park to the Old Coastguard Station.

Packed lunches may be eaten in the education room in the event of bad weather.

Facilities operated by Scarborough Borough Council are situated near the car parks at Bank Top and next-door to the Old Coastguard Station in the village.

There is a retail area in the Old Coastguard Station and this is open to education parties in small groups. All income made from the shop is reinvested in the visitor centre to improve facilities and services so please consider shopping here. We are more than happy to make up souvenir goodie bags prior to your visit, please contact us for more details.
