Have you ever wanted to learn more about the bees in your garden? If so, this workshop is just for you. Join award-winning author Jean Vernon for a bee workshop in the gardens at Hidcote. This workshop will introduce you to some of the charming bumblebees and fascinating solitary bees that bring our gardens alive and pollinate our plants. Learn about their nesting needs and the plants that really can make a difference. With a little understanding of the needs of your garden bees you can make small changes to your garden to transform your plot into a true bee-friendly, pollinator paradise.

Jean Vernon (aka Jeanie Bee) is an award-winning writer and is the author of The Secret Lives of Garden Bees. Jean is on a mission to unravel, demystify and explain the intricate balance of nature and to introduce everyone to the familiar and unfamiliar bees and other pollinators that live in our gardens. Her second book, Attracting Garden Pollinators was published in 2022. This workshop includes an illustrated talk, a bespoke nature table focussed on bumblebees and solitary bees and a guided walk in the garden, so please come dressed for the weather. Tea and coffee will be provided on arrival.

*Please note, this event focuses on bumblebees and solitary bees and not honeybees.
