Basildon Park is packed full of treasures, but there are some real highlights to look out for as you make your way around the house...

Going outdoors

Expansive countryside surrounds the Basildon Park mansion house with splendid views towards the Thames and the Chilterns. There are 400 acres of garden, parkland and woodland for you to explore.

    Enjoy a guided tour of the house

    Join a guided tour of the house. Tours operate between 11am and 12pm on a daily basis. On Tuesdays, guided tours operate all day.

    The tickets are given out on a first come, first served basis. They cannot be booked. Please ask on arrival in the ticket office for information.

    Join the Friday nature walk

    Join our warden or one of our nature volunteers for a free guided walk around the parkland.

    The walk set off every Friday from the stable yard at 11am.

    Walk around our parkland

    We've four self-guided walks in our parkland. They're all clearly sign posted with way-markers. They vary in length and difficulty, with two being suitable for all-terrain buggies.
