Experience the enchantment of the season at Basildon Park as it pays tribute to the timeless tale of 'The Wind in the Willows.'

Starting from 18 November, immerse yourself in a wonderland of beautifully adorned trees, garlands, and twinkling fairy lights, all inspired by the captivating story. The magical atmosphere extends to the gardens, where you'll encounter charming woodland creatures and whimsical decorations.

Embrace the spirit of Christmas with us from 18 November this year until 5 January 2024 (closed Christmas Eve & Christmas Day).

Our doors will be open from 10am to 4pm, with the last entry at 3pm. Step into the house, which opens at 11am, and discover the delightful Christmas decorations. Wander through the house at your own pace, and our knowledgeable guides will be there to share captivating stories along the way.

Embark on a whimsical Christmas adventure at Basildon Park, where the enchanting world of Kenneth Grahame's 'The Wind in the Willows' comes to life!

Mr Toad is obsessed with cars, the problem is - he's crashed seven of them! Race around the garden to find the activity stations and help him stay out of trouble.

Pick up an activity sheet at visitor reception to help find your way. Cost £2, includes a prize.
Please note: the whole property is closed Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.
