Whether it’s arranging flowers, taking a tour, playing a tune on the piano in our 1920s Saloon or donning a costume; we're looking for volunteers to do a huge range of hands-on activities to make this place feel like home. Castle guides

If you've got a passion for history, then this is the one for you. We're looking for volunteers to share the stories of Croft with visitors as they enjoy their day out. We want volunteers to wander the castle and be available for some on-hand information if or when needed. This is a wide and varied role and could involve some research work to help us bring our stories to life. Get in touch to find out more

Conservation and collection engagement volunteers

If you fancy helping us with cleaning projects within the castle and sharing our conservation top tips with visitors then this role could be for you. Or, you might like to help with ensuring our collection is cared for in the best possible way with photography, inventory work or some condition monitoring. Email us for more information.

Volunteering in visitor reception is a great way to spend time working with people. We're looking for volunteers who want to make a real difference to someone's day. This role covers everything from welcoming visitors on arrival to buggy driving and promoting what's on during the day. You can give as little or as much time as you like, so why not get in touch?

Retail volunteers

Our stables shop is a great place to try out your selling and merchandising skills with retail volunteering. The retail team help visitors find that perfect souvenir to take home or capture a memory of their special visit to Croft. Hours are flexible and full till and shop training will be given. Contact us to make all the difference to someone's day out.

Enjoy a hard day's work? Join our ranger volunteers and help care for Croft's 1500 acres of historic parkland. With an Iron Age hillfort, 300 veteran trees and not to mention the Fishpool Valley, there is plenty to get your teeth into. Contact our ranger for more information.

If you love gardens, enjoy getting dirty and seeing plants and vegetables grow and thrive, then this is an ideal opportunity to help us care for Croft's walled and terraced gardens. Equipment will be provided and you can ask our gardener if you want to find out more.
