The second-hand Bookshop located next to the House entrance.
Café
The Stableyard Café sells hot and cold meals, drinks and snacks and has indoor and outdoor seating.
Car park
The car park is located at the top of the hill. Parking included in membership or within admission fees. All visitors using the car park must either scan their National Trust membership card or pay admission fees.
Dogs allowed
Dogs on leads and under close control are allowed in the formal gardens, the orchard, the parkland and at the Stableyard Café. Only assistance dogs are allowed inside the house.
Picnic area
Picnic benches located in the Orchard next to the Play Area. Picnicking is welcome across the gardens.
Shop
The Shop is in the Stableyard and stocks a wide range of gifts, books, homewares, kids toys, and local products.
Toilet
Toilets all located in the Stableyard.

Hughenden is on a hill and there are some steep slopes and uneven paths. Our team can point out step-free routes.

Wheelchairs, including 2 all-terrain, are available to hire in advance. Email hughenden@nationaltrust.org.uk to book one for the day you are visiting.

On foot
1½ miles from High Wycombe. Hughenden is crossed by a number of footpaths. It is possible to walk from High Wycombe and a number of the surrounding villages. If walking from High Wycombe, it is possible to walk down the Valley Road, or across the parkland. Follow signs to the Visitor Reception on arrival. See OS Maps for footpath maps.
By train
High Wycombe train station is just under 2 miles from Hughenden, or alternatively the Redline 300 bus can be taken from the bus station on Bridge Street, which is about a half-mile walk from the train station.
By bus
Redline 300 buses regularly stop at the bottom of the drive to Hughenden; there is a steep walk to the house up the hill.
Cycling
There are no cycle paths to Hughenden, please use the road directions.
By road
1½ miles north of High Wycombe; on the west side of Valley Road. From the M40 exit 4, take the A404 towards High Wycombe, follow signs to Eden shopping centre, then take the A4128 towards Great Missenden. Follow the brown signs. Postcode: HP14 4LA.
Parking: Included in admission charge. Follow signs to main car park which will open at 10.00am. Entrance to car park locked at 4.30pm. Accessible parking closer to the House is available - speak to staff on arrival.

Underground
Hughenden is located under 10 miles from Amersham Railway Station, which is served by the Metropolitan Line and Chiltern Railways.
