We've a packed year ahead of events for everyone to enjoy. How about visiting the new basement, which opens on 3 March, Studio Silver Today starting on 10 March, Easter fun and 95th Rifles in the Easter holidays just to mention a few.

Ickworth is an 1,800 acre pleasure ground for you and your four-legged friends. We've a variety of walks from short trails round the garden to longer and more challenging walks across the estate.

Walled garden

The walled garden, with its canal and summer-house, was built under the first Earl's direction shortly before 1717. The walled garden today contains a vineyard managed by Jillian and Charles Macready.

Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk is a dazzling historic gem. An important market town, it showcases a combination of medieval and Georgian architecture, not to mention the glorious Cathedral and Abbey gardens. We have an award-winning market, plus a variety of attractions and places to stay. Bury St Edmunds is under two hours from London, very convenient for Cambridge and of course on our doorstep.
