We have over 100 dedicated volunteers, all bringing different skills to Melford Hall. It is our volunteers who help bring the Hall to life.

We are very proud to welcome those wanting to become part of the Melford Hall story and encourage anyone wanting to try something new to contact us.

Resident artist

Chair of the Lavenham Art Society, Vernon has been volunteering at Melford Hall for four years.

Vernon demonstrates the famous Beatrix Potter watercolour style to excited visitors of all ages, whilst developing his own professional skills.

Conservator

A Melford volunteer, Keith Dean, bookbinding

In 2010, Keith joined Melford Hall as a volunteer to help to conserve the family heritage of the Hyde Parker family.

Keith has shared his invaluable knowledge with staff, volunteers and visitors alike.

Trudy and John are dedicated to unveiling the Melford Hall stories as well as sharing their knowledge as room guides.

They are currently helping us to re-write our story for visitors to take home with them.
