Festival of Light

Building on the success of the past two years, Mount Stewart will once again host a magical light show – but this year with a Christmas theme.

Encompassing a festive Christmas theme, it will run over ten consecutive nights, offering the opportunity to see the lake walk come alive with sparkling trees and mystical music.

Our famous tipis will house various artisan food producers offering up Christmas treats and visitors can take in the sights whilst relaxing by the open fire. Feel free to bring some marshmallows to toast!

Take a plant home

At Mount Stewart you can pick up the more unusual species of plants that we grow in our own gardens. They're sure to be a talking point among your family and friends.

The plants for sale are spray-free, and most are grown on the property from our own stock using peat-free compost.

Relax with a book

Since it first opened, our secondhand book shop has grown from a few books on a single table to a proper venue, with shelves displaying a huge selection of books from many genres and areas of interest.

It's stocked entirely with donated books and run by volunteers.
