New tea room coming soon!
Our Bay Restaurant will be closing on Sunday 8 February and will re-open as Mount Stewart Tea Room in March 2015 (date tbc).
During this time a limited offer of refreshments will be available from our Education Room.
Shop til you drop
With constant new stock flying its way onto the shelves and exciting offers to take advantage of, our shop is the perfect place to buy a treat for yourself or a gift.
We are delighted to be able to announce the launch of National Trust gift cards. Gift cards can be redeemed at our shops, restaurants and admission points. They can also be used toward the cost of membership and holiday cottages.
Relax with a good book
Our second hand bookshop is located behind the reception area. Since it first opened it has grown from a few books on a table to a proper venue, with shelves displaying the huge selection of books from many areas of interest.
It's stocked entirely with donated books and run by volunteers.
Stop by and pick up a bargain.
Furnish your own garden
Spruce up your own garden with decorative plants and ornaments.
At Mount Stewart you can pick up more unusual species of plants that we grow in our own gardens. They're sure to be a talking point among your family and friends.
The plants for sale are spray-free, and most are grown on the property from our own stock using peat-free compost.
Buying Mount Stewart grown plants helps to support our conservation propagation programme, conserving our collection for future generations.
Tracker packs are available to borrow from our reception desk, they contain lots of Mount Stewart themed activities and are presented in a small backpack so are easy to transport from one part of the garden to the next.
You can also have a go at one of our other kids activities below:
- Discover our ark animals (includes really cool dinosaurs!)
- Create your own white stag statue at home
- How much do you know about red squirrels?
- Put your artistic skills to the test
