When Dr John Dolittle of Puddleby-on-the-Marsh is taught by his wise old parrot Polynesia how to talk to animals, news of his skills spreads far and wide.
Soon animals across the world send messages asking for his help. So he buys a leaky old ship and, together with his trusty pet-crew of Jip the dog, Chee-Chee the monkey, Dab-Dab the Duck and permanently hungry Gub-Gub the pig, sets forth on a mission to heal illness, spread compassion and gain a greater understanding of the animal kingdom.
Running time (approximately): 1hr 50mins (including 20 minute interval)
Suitable for ages 5+ (younger children also welcome). Free for children under 3.

The gate to the garden will open an hour before the performance.
- What to bring and wear
Wear appropriate clothing for the weather. You can bring low back chairs, blankets and a picnic.
- Accessibility
The buggy can assist visitors who need help walking from the car park to the front of the house.
- Other
The car park is located approximately 400 yards from the garden. Please bear this in mind when bringing heavy picnic boxes and chairs. Assistance dogs only. Hot and cold drinks and snacks available from Killerton Kitchen Cafe in the garden before the performance and during the interval. Picnics are encouraged, sorry no BBQs.
