Estate Walk: Holt Heath
Discover the fascinating history and nature of Holt Heath, and be joined part-way round by a National Trust Ranger to hear about some of the ongoing conservation work. Distance: 5 miles. Time: approx. 3 hours

Holt Heath is an important lowland heath and is home to local plants including common heather, bell heather, cross-leaved heather, bog asphodel, sundews and marsh gentian. Birds include large populations of Dartford warbler, stonechat, curlew and nightjar. All six of Britain’s reptile species are found here.
