20 Years of Milling with the National Trust

To celebrate our 20th anniversary of milling with the National Trust, we'll be delving into our archives to showcase photographs and stories from the last two decades.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

On the 12th March 2004 the Deputy High Sheriff of Winchester declared the site officially re-opened as a working mill. An historic day indeed; it had been almost a century since flour had last been milled here and after a 12 year restoration program, the public were invited to a public demonstration of the site in action, the wheel turning in all it's glory!

As we continue to fundraise to preserve this heritage craft here in Winchester, come along and explore our history and follow us to find out what happens next.
