Volunteering at Emmetts Garden

Joining the team at Emmetts Garden is a great way to meet people, learn new skills and help support this special place. There are a range of volunteering roles on offer, indoors and out, behind-the-scenes and visitor facing. We aim to ensure our opportunities are as flexible as possible as we appreciate that everyone has different needs and commitments.

Volunteer in the garden

We have a great team of garden volunteers who share a passion for the work we do. Over the years, the garden has been restored and transformed, opening up views, restoring water features and cutting back many of the historic trees and shrubs to help them live for many years to come. The garden volunteers continue to be an integral part of this ongoing conservation work at Emmetts Garden.

‘One of the things I really enjoy about working at Emmetts is the friendly atmosphere. The garden team provide expert advice and direction and adapt tasks to what we feel confident we are able to do.’

Rob, Garden Volunteer

'I have volunteered at Emmetts for the past 10 years and totally love it. The best part of the role is meeting the visitors who love to chat about the gardens and the plants - and tell us how lovely it all looks!'
