Guided Walk: Prehistoric Sizergh

Explore the traces of Sizergh’s prehistoric past, and its picturesque present, with a guided walk to Sizergh Fell. Booking is essential.

Sizergh’s estate is home to a number of prehistoric burial sites and traces of our Roman past. Discover hidden histories, beautiful views and fascinating nature with a guided walk. Our friendly, knowledgeable volunteers will lead the way, and you’ll wander through diverse limestone grassland and take in the wildlife, from grasses and flowers to birds and invertebrates, glimpsing stunning panoramic views over Morecambe Bay. This walk will take around two hours.

Please meet outside Visitor Reception (in the main building just off the car park).

Please wear sturdy footwear and waterproofs if needed.

Accessibility

There is an accessible toilet in the Visitor Centre.

The walks are free, but please remember our car park is pay and display (or if you're a National Trust member, please scan your membership card at the machine for a free ticket). Any donations towards the upkeep of the estate would be greatly appreciated.
