Bio-sonification Live at Blickling Estate
Ever wondered what plants sound like? Join a special musical experience as Martin Noble-James from Revolutionary Biscuits presents Bio-sonification Live from the walled garden.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Bio-sonification is the process of translating the electrical impulses produced by all living things into sound.
During this special event, Martin Noble-James from Revolutionary Biscuits will play live, unedited music produced by the plants in the walled garden. Perhaps they will be more active in sunshine, perhaps when it has recently rained. The conditions on the day of each performance will influence the composition. Bio-sonification is an engaging way of showing that beneath a calm exterior, there is an awful lot going on inside living plants.
Suitable for all ages. This is a free event, but as it takes place in the garden, standard admission charges apply, with free entry for National Trust members. Assistance dogs only.
