Join our countryside rangers and have a go at some stone wall repairs at Ballyconaghan, on Rathlin Island
You’ll learn a traditional countryside skill and finish the day off with a short guided walk looking at wildlife, plants and the fabulous views from the north-eastern side of the island.
There is a walk of approximately 15 minutes from the ferry terminal to the site and you will be lifting stones, so please wear sturdy boots and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty – and bring some waterproofs in case of rain!
16+ only !
Our rangers will meet you at 9:30 am at the ferry terminal in Ballycastle. Please book your own return ferry tickets with Rathlin Island Ferry online at https://www.rathlin-ferry.com/ (departing Ballycastle at 10:00 AM and returning on the 3:00PM ferry from Rathlin, £16 adult return).
Bring a packed lunch with you as facilities are limited on the island. Tools, gloves and safety glasses to be provided.
