Dusk and Dawn : Artmaking on Orford Ness

This overnight event allows participants to engage with fleeting light of sunrise and sunset at this incredible landscape. Respond to the changes of hue, texture and opacity over land, sky and sea as the sun sets and rises.

  • Booking essential

This workshop will include overnight accommodation on the Ness. We will walk across the Bailey Bridge to the shingle spit at sunset and sunrise to capture the changing light across the incredible landscape of Orford Ness.

This workshop is led by internationally exhibiting artists Jane Watt and SE Barnet who are both Senior Lecturers in Fine Art at University of Suffolk. Watt and Barnet use a range of media in their art practice including drawing, lens-based media, installation and performance.

Jane has undertaken a range of projects over the last three decades, including largescale commissions and workshop programmes for University College London, John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and Darwin Green in Northwest Cambridge.

Susan has developed research groups such as radical re Think at University of Arts, London and worked on projects with the Mass Observation Archive.
