Meadow Wonders

Join us throughout May in celebration of our floodplain meadow that forms the heart of Runnymede

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event

Not just as the place where the Magna Carta was sealed but as a haven for wildlife and nature and a centuries-old gathering place for the local community. Throughout spring and early summer, our meadow will be buzzing with life as insects flit between the wildflowers and swaying grass. It’s a wonderful time to come and experience this beautiful landscape.

Pick up our free spotter sheets from the tea room and see what wildflowers and insects you can find.

Every Saturday join us to make seed bombs and have fun launching them in the meadow, 11am-1pm.

On selected days, join our Habitat Monitors on a guided walk through the meadow and Langham Ponds.

The fun continues during half term week with free meadow-themed games, then on the last Bank Holiday Monday, there'll be meadow craft activities and a chance to meet the Rangers and check out their amazing tractor.

To make the most of your day bring a picnic and explore the countryside, memorials and artwork on one of our walking trails or scan the QR codes on our information boards and listen to our audio guide.
