Join us on Saturday 11 May to find out more about volunteering at Powis Castle and Garden.
Meet current volunteers, tour the property and ask as many questions as you like before you decide if you would like to join the team.
10:00 to 10.15 - Welcome and informal chat with current volunteers.
10.15 to 11.00 - Tour the castle before it opens to visitors.
From 11.00 – Take a spin in the shuttle bus and find out more about our volunteer driving role.
Whether you’re bringing years of skills and knowledge with you, or just simply keen to try something new, this opportunity is open to everyone.
There is no need to have any background in history, our volunteers just add a little sparkle to people’s visits - giving everyone a warm welcome, bringing stories from Powis Castle & Garden to life and helping people get the best out of their day.
There is no need to book, just turn up at 10am on the day. Family and friends are welcome too if they’re also interested in volunteering.

Sensible footwear for exploring the castle.
- Accessibility
There are many steps to the Ballroom, with no ramp and no alternative access. There is step-free access to the garden, café and shop. Please read the full Access Statement available under 'Facilities and access' on the website.
