We are pleased to be part of The Avebury Papers project which is funded by the AHRC to develop, explore, and digitise the multimedia archive of Avebury’s Neolithic origins and its subsequent life-history.

The Avebury Papers project is a collaboration between Bournemouth University, the University of York, the National Trust, and the Archaeology Data Service, with support from Historic England and English Heritage.

The aim of the project is to reassess the massive archaeological archive held at the Alexander Keiller Museum and to deepen our understanding of the story of Avebury.
The archive will then be digitised so that it is available to everyone who wishes to see it.

This four year project is funded by the AHRC and supported by many volunteers.
