High sandstone ridge and hill fort overlooking dramatic red sandstone rock houses

Kinver's woodland sandstone ridge offers dramatic views across surrounding counties and miles of heathland walking country. The famous Holy Austin Rock Houses, which were inhabited until the 1950s, are open to visitors at selected times

Putting the finishing touches on the reconstructed porch

New for this season: Martindale Caves

This season, we open the doors to a brand new Rock House.

The house has been restored to show life at the Rock Houses during the 1930s, when the Reeves family lived here.

Visitors can explore the home, handle objects, try on clothing and find out about the family.
