Bug hunting at Badbury Rings

Explore the Rings to see what bugs you can find. Will you net a grasshopper, a cricket or a spider? Saturdays in half term, 25 May and 1 June. Pick up a bug sweep net and get hunting.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event

To all bug hunters of all ages, why not go bug hunting on Saturdays 25 May and 1 June at Badbury Rings.

Pick up your net and a spotter card from the engagement van in the car park. You will be able to borrow bug-hunting equipment for up to 30 minutes.

We will be recording all your findings to help us with the conservation of the site.

This is a free self-led activity running from the visitor information van between 11am- 1pm. Last chance to pick up a bug net will be 12.45pm

We will have a limited number of sweep nets and magnifying pots available so the event will be on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have your own net, why not bring it along and join in the fun; we can help you identify the creepy crawlies you may come across.
