Conservation Week at Knole

Visit Knole's showrooms to discover how the collection is cared for and see the Collections and House team at work.

  • Booking advisable
  • Free event (admission applies)

During Conservation Week we highlight how items in Knole's collection are cared for, with visitors being able to see the team at work in the showrooms. This week the Collections and House team will be carrying out analysis of portraits from the Brown Gallery to see how the panel paintings are changing with humidity levels. They will also be cleaning some of the upholstered Royal Stuart furniture in the Cartoon Gallery.

This is included with a Showrooms, outdoor and tower ticket. Separate booking is not required, however, we do recommend pre-booking your admission to Knole.

Last entry to the showrooms and Gatehouse Tower is 3.30pm, closing at 4pm.
