Be a Ranger for the Day
Our Young Ranger days are always popular, but why should children have all the fun. Join our Adult Ranger Day and get direct insight from the Orford Ness Rangers into their work in protecting the landscape and wildlife of Orford Ness.
- Booking essential
A great opportunity to be a ranger for the day. Always fancied shearing a sheep? Come and have a lesson with Andrew, Area Ranger/Shepherd or help monitor the moths that live on Orford Ness with Karen one of our Rangers. Learn how our rare breed flock of sheep help manage the landscape with conservation grazing to make it such an important site for wading, migrating and ground nesting birds. Help Sweep our sheepdog round them up for health checks.
Discover other ways we learn about what small mammals and insects are living on this shingle spit and the work we have done to create a rich environment for birds and wildlife.
