Join in the National Mills Weekend celebrations at Bateman’s Park Mill, one of the only working water mills in the area. Park Mill was beloved by Kipling and features in stories he wrote at Bateman's. Watch milling in action and meet our friendly guides to learn more about its history. Pick up a re-printed Park Mill guide for a £2 donation.
Our Millers will be milling grain on Saturday 11 May, 11am–4pm.
There will be Mill guides to answer questions about the Mill, it's history and links to Rudyard Kipling on Sunday 12 May, 11am-4pm.

Meet by Park Mill at the end of the Wild Garden.
- What to bring and wear
Please come dressed for the weather.
- Accessibility
The watermill is located at the bottom of the garden. There are three steps down to cross a small bridge and then a further four steps to enter the doorway to the mill. There are steep wooden steps up to the first floor. The lighting is mostly LED. Seating is available. Please see the access pages at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/batemans for further information.

Please note that we do not sell the flour milled at Bateman's Park Mill. The Milling will only be taking place on Saturday 11 May, 11am-4pm.
