Room guide

Room guides play a key role at Lyme Park. They help visitors to explore the house; discover the stories of the Legh family and their workers and experience the house as it was during its heyday of the Edwardian era.

Courtyard guide

Courtyard guides provide a warm welcome to visitors and help them to navigate the property.

Catering assistant

Catering assistants provide a warm and inviting experience, from welcoming visitors to serving food and drink in a prompt, efficient and pleasant manner.

Garden volunteer

There is always something to be done in the gardens, all year round, from planting bulbs to welcoming visitors, you can meet new people and help to maintain a beautiful and historic garden for everybody to enjoy.

Distant View of the South Front of Lyme Park

Raffle volunteers spend time in the house, garden and park selling raffle tickets to visitors. Their work helps raise funds for conservation work, such as restoring the Chapel at the property.

Conservation

Conservation volunteers help the Rangers preserve the natural environment at Lyme Park. They work across the estate and perform a wide range of tasks from rebuilding dry stone walls to maintaining woodland.
